Step 1, 2, and 3 must be completed before you can apply for a job
1. Identify and understand roles, responsibilities and rights of duty holders:
- Duty of care under common law
- Rights, responsibilities and enforcement provisions under OHS legislation
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing reasonable care that what you do, or fail to do, does not adversely affect the health and safety of others
- Complying with any reasonable instructions given to you by the Responsible Officer or their representative, and all security and safety instructions of the work site
- Ensuring that you have licences, qualifications and training for the work that you will be undertaking
- Bullying/harassment
- Ensuring that all plant and equipment is well maintained and in good working order
- Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
